What I’m Wearin’…

Hey guys!  Here are shots from my OOTD from Mother’s Day.  Grey was so hot last season so I must confess, I bought a ton of it.  I love to pair it with my favorite colors, like cobalt and pink.  I’ve never paired it with purple before, but I really liked the way it looked!

I also did a play on different textures and prints by combining a sequins tank and a graphic animal print skirt.DSCN1226DSCN1227  DSCN1196

As usual, I post my outfits on Lookville to rate them and to make sure I don’t bring you junk.  The advisors didn’t care for the combination but that just goes to show that sometimes you have to take chances and make yourself happy.  Overall, I was pleased and I got a lot of compliments.

What I’m Lovin’…

Sooooo, I usually NEVER go in Catherine’s, right?  I remember growing up, this store used to be so boring.  I used to buy a few things for church there but eventually I just stopped going in there.  Well, just recently I decided to give them another shot, especially after seeing this sign in the window.

I went in my local Catherine’s and was pleasantly surprised.

I spotted several pieces that I really liked and was impressed with their new marketing approaches. such as:

1.  the addition and re-opening of Added Dimensions which is another plus size retailer that had long gone out of business.

2.  the friendly salespeople who were very eager to help.

3.  and their promptness in alerting customers of upcoming sales and promotional offers through, Facebook, email, and even the telephone by calling 1-800-405-9492 to opt in.  (I get calls from them all the time when they are about to have a sale!  yay!!!)

Check out this black sequins sheath dress that I scored from Catherine’s for $26, seen below and featured in this previous post!!

Overall, I had a good experience shopping at Catherine’s.  While, the clothes there may not be for a night out, they are definitely appropriate for a work wardrobe and formal events like banquets and such.  Most importantly, their intimates section is full of great foundation garments like panties, bras, hosiery, and girdles.  Check out the album below for some of my favorite pieces.

What I’m Hearin’…

This week’s song in my head and in my heart is actually TWO songs and they are both from one of my favorite artists, Ms. Corinne Bailey Rae.  Since it was Mother’s Day, the first is dedicated to my son!

The second, is dedicated to my own Mommy!

Hope you enjoy!
