What I’m Tryin’……Bantu Knot Out
Check out my results from a Bantu Knot Out that I did using Nothing But Pure Pudding. (Review in my previous post)
This is the first Bantu Knot out that came out successfully! I really loved the results. The Nothing But Pure Pudding was very moisturizing and gave my hair a very decent sheen- probably not enough to use as a sealant after washing but I would definitely recommend this product as a moisturizer for use in styling.
Very pleased.
Until next time…

What I’m Tryin’……Nothing But
This product smelled so great when first opening it. It smells like cucumbers. This is my first time using a different pudding than my usual Organic Root Stimulator pudding. I must say that I am pleased. Most importantly, this product line claims to have: No petrolatum, no mineral oil, no sulfates, no parabens, no colorants, no phthalates.
I decided to use the product to do a Bantu Knot Out because I wanted something that would be moisturizing and not have too much hold. I wanted free flowing and not crunchy curls.
My hair had been straightened a few weeks prior so I started out with straight hair, which makes a difference. I put about a dime size amount on each section and brushed it through to make sure that each strand was coated evenly. Each section was twisted and then knotted around itself. It made about 10-12 knots. When the whole head was complete, I wrapped it with a silk scarf and let it set overnight.
Stay tuned for the results…
Until next time…

What I’m Tryin’……Crockpot
One of my New Year’s Resolutions was to start cooking more. I was beginning to live like a big “adult kid”. I’ve been in my new apartment for 11 months and I think this January was the first time that I’ve ever cooked a meal. *shame shame* LOL Don’t judge me. So far I’ve been doing pretty good. I haven’t eaten out or microwaved a meal since last year. Yay me! Check out a couple of the dishes that I’ve made. I’ll keep you guys posted!

What I’m Lovin’……New Year
It’s a brand new year. I’ve promised myself that will do better with blogging. 2013 brought a lot of challenges, some good and some bad. All of them, however caused huge breaks in blogging. I promise I will devote more time to bettering myself and growing my dreams. Those were put on the backburner last year. I did get to do a few things for myself. Check it out.
So, here’s to 2014 and giving it a brand new shot!
