Cafe at City Market, Savannah GA

I really enjoyed this place. I go to city market all the time and I always pass this place and never eat there. I was in City Market about a week ago and I didn't feel like getting in the car and finding another place to go and worry about parking so we decided to eat down there. We were either going to go to the wing spot down there or this place. I'm so glad that I gave this place a chance. Just about everything that we ordered was perfect.

The atmosphere of the place is kind of like an old Hollywood scene with white linen on the tables and pictures of golden era Hollywood stars. We sat right next to a huge cutout of Marilyn Monroe. I ordered the chicken alfredo with shrimp, one friend ordered the chicken cordon bleu and my other friend ordered a pasta with sausage and shrimp in it. Everyone enjoyed what they ordered.
My friend even ordered desert which is something we never do we go out. They both got the peach cobbler and loved it so much that they wanted seconds. The price was pretty reasonable and the service was great. Our waiter was very nice and very open about his favorite options on the menu.
My only complaint is that the hoppin' john or black eye peas & rice was not as good as we thought it would be. It had an strong tone of vinegar which did not appeal to us. Other than that it was a great dining experience and I definitely recommend!
Until Next Time…
