Tango Buenos Aires, Statesboro GA

Another amazing performance at Georgia Southern University's Performing Arts Center!  Tango Buenos Aires:  "The Song of Eva Peron" featured for one night at the PAC and it was a beautiful show.  The musical is a "journey through dance and music of the life of Eva Perón" who was the former first lady of Argentina for seven years until her death in 1952.
"Accompanied on stage by a live orchestra, dancers bring the seductive and graceful Argentine tango to life with amazing speed and skill, and tell the story of one of Argentina’s most iconic and beloved political leaders."
When I first heard about this performance I knew that I didn't want to miss it.  Eva Peron was a cultural icon who is dearly loved by her people even to this day.  Her story also touches me to because she was so young when she died (from cancer) at age 33, which is the same age that I am right now.
