I love, love, love this place. I've been going here since I ditched the Fresh Market. The change has broken my heart but I'm happy that there is another grocery store that I can go to. The produce was so fresh here and looks so great.

Anyone who knows my or my family knows that we LOVE our rum!  We totally shoulda been pirates!  We love geting together and making all sorts of mixed drinks and even rum cakes.  We even take it straight if we need to.  Earlier this month, I was was invited to attend the grand announcement of Daufuskie Island Rum Company's Gold Edition Rum!  I got to take a tour of the factory and even learned the process for how rum was made!  But.......for now I think I'll stick to just drinking it!

My first encounter with this beauty was during Savannah Fashion Week in 2013.  Shaunii Rawls is one of Savannah's most celebrated models and just one look at her on the runway makes it easy to see why.  I finally got to meet her at an event and she promised me an interview.  This gorgeous, yet down-to-earth chick was just fresh off of a 6-page spread in Savannah Magazine and I'm so glad that she took the time to share her story with us!

Here is another one of my fabulous days in the Dominican Republic.  We started that morning with a rum & chocolate tasting plus a peek at cigar rolling at Don Lucas Cigars. This will gave us a chance to see some of the DR's sights, experience some local culture, taste (and purchase) some Rum, Dominican Coffee and Chocolates, Cigars and do some Shopping.  We ended the night at the Royalton resort's Italian restaurant and of course, I ended up at the bar!
Until Next Time…

Here are some more pictures from my wonderful trip to the Dominican Republic. On the day after arrival, we took a tour around the city of Punta Cana and we also did a Segway tour which was really fun, until it wasn't!  Lol  I did good for about an hour and then I fell off of the Segway and bruised leg.  I did make it down to the beach where we rode the Segway along the coast and I got some great shots of the beach. We stopped at the Iguana pits and took some photos of the little, well not so little, guys. Last stop was a farm where we feasted on fresh island fruits but that was where I took my fall so I finished off my tour riding back in the golf cart! Lol
