When was the last time you thought about your own habits? Everyone is always looking for ways to boost your wellness but perhaps it’s best to simply start considering in what little ways you can alter your lifestyle slightly. If your days are filled with cigarettes, cocktails or a crazily hectic schedule nobody could ever keep up with, then maybe it’s time to reassess. Here is a list of five habits that may need your attention.

1. Smoking

It’s a difficult habit that you know might be fatal to your health in the long run. When you are a regular smoker, you are not only damaging your own health and wellbeing, but you will also be impacting your family and friends too. Passive smoking might not seem like a huge deal to you, but it’s still a risk. Seek out specialist support from your doctor or therapist and you will be able to start a program that works for your individual needs.

2. Drinking

Having a couple of drinks after work, you might not think it’s a big deal at all; lots of people do it. But, if you think that you are dependent on alcohol in any way, then this may serious sign of addiction. Yes, there are huge differences between bad habits and addiction, but you might want to check out the following how to stop drinking ebook and webinar. The pointers there might change your life for the better by teaching you how to recognize your downfalls and triggers.

3. Spending

This is my major one!  Lol  Everyone is guilty of heading out on one too many shopping sprees now and again, but this could actually be a cause for serious concern if your spending is out of control and causing finance programs. Try to spend mindfully and avoid impulse buying when you are out and about.  One thing that I’ve tried is setting aside a budget for the things I know I’ll want to splurge on instead of just trying to go cold turkey.  That’s not fun nor is it realistic.  This way I can still treat myself sometimes without blowing my budget.  Gaining control of your shopping habits is a lot easier said than done, but you will be able to find a method that works for you.

4. Being too Busy
Nowadays it’s quite trendy to be busy all the time.  #BossChick, #Booked&Busy statuses are EVERYWHERE!  You fill up your diary to bursting point and you never get a moment to yourself. Try to give yourself at least one day a week where you can do whatever makes you happy.  Binge that Netflix show, hang out with buddies you haven’t seen in a while, go to a movie, etc.  Working on building your empire all the time is a lovely thought, but don’t forget to build what really matters.

5. Overeating

This is also another one of my habits.  Did I write this post for myself?!?  Hmm??!?  LOL  People can often turn to food as a source of comfort when they have been through a rough time. It’s a good idea to address the reasons why you might be overeating, then you’ll be able to seek some professional advice. Your health might suffer in the long run if you don’t seek out the relevant medical advice.

No one expects you to quit these habits overnight but working on some of the root issues can set you up for a longer, happier and healthier life.

Until Next Time...
