4 Items You Can Always Find in My Bag

Nowadays, there are only a handful of things that you need to have on hand every day. Your phone, keys, and wallet. Maybe a few others if you need to carry items like medication or stuff for work. But chances are if you’re like me, you carry a huge bag full of tons of random items and maybe you’re carrying a few 'extras' like makeup, Om Vapors, and mail.  One thing’s for sure- there are a few items that I will always carry no matter what.  They’re all are useful and don't take up too much space.

A Portable Charger
Running out of battery can be extremely inconvenient, especially since I rely on my phone to document my adventures for my blog and social media. Whether it's booking an uber, ordering food, checking emails, sending someone a text, we all have activities that are essential for our phones. So what do you do if you need your phone, but it has died? Having a portable charger in your bag now comes in very handy. It's a little device that holds a charge, and you plug your phone straight into it without needing a main socket. It’s definitely something that I need for those long days away from home. Keep it charged and pop it in your bag. Bear in mind that once you've used it, you will need to recharge it again.

Business Cards
A lot of people find themselves branching out and doing some form of entrepreneurial/self-employed work. It's always a good idea to have some business cards to hand out. Some would argue that you can keep these in your pocket or wallet; however, they tend to get stained, bent, tattered and lose their professionalism. Instead, tuck a few cards into a case to drop down in your bag or a secure pocket so they won't risk getting bent. You'll be glad to have them on hand the next time you make a connection and want to swap info.

Your Go-To Hair Product
Let's face it bad hair days happen- especially in the summer months.  My natural hair is HOT! We may see all these people glamourized on Instagram; however, they most likely have a hair tie or two for after the shoots. By keeping a small container with things such as a brush, grips and hair ties in your bag, you can make sure you’ll can tackle any loose ends and keep yourself looking presentable/comfortable.

Chapstick or Sunscreen
Now that summer has started and it's really starting to warm up, some carrying suncream will keep you from getting burned when you end up outside for longer than you expected.  If I don’t keep some on hand, I have one arm that gets darker than the other from driving while the sun is beaming through the window. It can be convenient when you are caught out on a walk, your commute to work or walking around the park, and the sun makes an appearance. In the extreme weather months like summer and winter, I suffer with chapped lips so a chapstick can be a lifesaver to apply throughout the day.
